Share The Dignity – “It was 2015 when I first learned that vulnerable women were going without essential hygiene items.” says Rochelle Courtenay, founder of Share the Dignity. “I just decided to try and do something about it.”
- The national organisation distributes vital period products to those experiencing poverty, homelessness, or domestic violence.
The mother-of-two began by collecting period products alongside her Brisbane community, then distributing them to local homeless shelters. Today her charity has over 3,500 volunteers across the country. And has coordinated with some of Australia’s largest retailers to deliver millions of items to those in need.

Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) is proud to announce a two-year partnership with Share the Dignity. Including providing the organisation with a brand-new Isuzu D-MAX X-TERRAIN. The eye-catchingly pink-wrapped ‘Dignity D-MAX’. Will be used both for transport and delivery, as part of national campaigns, and for community and media engagements.

IUA has also committed to collaborating on the charity’s two major national annual campaigns: ‘Dignity Drive’, in March and August, and November’s ‘It’s in the Bag’, which helps women doing it tough at Christmas.
For ‘In the Bag’, Australians are encouraged to donate a handbag at Bunnings stores filled with essential items.
Including
- period products,
- body wash,
- shampoo/conditioner,
- deodorant, and a
- toothbrush/toothpaste,
- along with a thoughtful note of support.
Held twice a year, ‘Dignity Drive’ calls on Australians to donate period products across Woolworths stores nationally. Which are distributed across the country. To women and girls who are experiencing or at risk of domestic violence, homelessness, or poverty.
“Share the Dignity has always been a band of supportive individuals. Men included, who just want to help others,” says Courtenay. “Isuzu UTE’s support will help us to make sure we never miss an opportunity. To be there for those girls and women who need our assistance.”
