Ineos Quartermaster – Love It… So, I Left It: Aussies Swap Their Utes For Ineos Quartermasters In The Outback.
- Aussies traded in their 4x4s for brand-new INEOS Quartermasters in the middle of the outback at Mundi Mundi Bash 2025
- “Most handovers happen at a dealership – we prefer ours on the red dirt of the outback, with a soundtrack of live music and a backdrop straight out of a movie,” said Justin Hocevar, Head of Region, INEOS Automotive Asia Pacific.
- INEOS Automotive Australia’s foundational return and refund initiative, ‘Love It or Leave It’, is now available across the entire INEOS range – including Quartermaster Ute, Quartermaster Cab-Chassis and Grenadier Station Wagon variants.
INEOS Automotive, official partner of Mundi Mundi Bash
INEOS Automotive, official partner of Mundi Mundi Bash, has turned its bold “Love It or Leave It” promise on its head, pulling off one of Australia’s most remote vehicle handovers at this year’s iconic Mundi Mundi Bash event.
In a first-of-its-kind vehicle trade-in, three 4×4 owners travelled across the outback to Broken Hill with their existing off-roaders, only to park them for the last time. Having previously test-driven the Quartermaster, the owners had decided on trading in their existing vehicles for the INEOS dual-cab Ute at Mundi Mundi Bash. Each left the festival grounds behind the wheel of a brand-new INEOS Quartermaster, in a cheeky twist the brand calls ‘Love It, So I Left It’.
“Most handovers happen at a dealership – we prefer ours on the red dirt of the outback, with a soundtrack of live music and a backdrop straight out of a movie,” said Justin Hocevar, Head of Region, INEOS Automotive Asia Pacific. “These customers knew what they wanted. They made the trip, they made the upgrade, and they drove home in vehicles built to take on more.”
INEOS Quartermaster owners, the swap
For the new INEOS Quartermaster owners, the swap was about more than just a new set of keys. One of the new owners, Ryan Randall, drove across 1,500kms of terrain from Brisbane to Broken Hill, making the journey with his partner and 12-month-old daughter. “The ability to pick up a new car at a festival – you just don’t get much luckier than that. It’s incredible to have a vehicle as capable as the Quartermaster off-road, but it also doubles as a good family car and a touring and towing vehicle for us.”
“We’ve had plenty of good times in our old 4x4s, but this marks a whole new chapter. Personally, what got me across the line on the Quartermaster is that it quite literally arrives ready for action right from the factory and is built with robust components like solid beam axles that are usually found in heavy-duty tractors.
I was blown away by many of the features included as standard, like the built-in auxiliary wiring that I would otherwise have to pay for separately and get installed aftermarket,” said Ryan. “The Quartermaster feels ready for anything – camping trips, beach runs, desert crossings – you name it. We can’t wait to make new memories and take it places we’ve only ever dreamed about.”
The Mundi Mundi Bash, famed for its sweeping red plains and world-class music line-up, was the perfect proving ground for the Quartermaster. Engineered alongside the INEOS Grenadier, the Quartermaster pair’s serious off-road ability with the load space and practicality of a dual cab Ute, making it equally at home hauling camping gear into the desert or taking on muddy station tracks.
