MG Motor Australia is proud to announce its participation in the upcoming Light Commercial Motor Show, taking place in Sydney, 7–8 August 2025. A premier event for fleet decision-makers and commercial vehicle professionals. Visitors to the MG Motor stand will have the chance to explore three key models offering fleet functionality, reliability, and efficiency:

  • MGU9 Ute – Rugged, reliable and built for the toughest jobs. The upcoming MGU9 performs on the weekday or weekend, perfect for small and medium business owners, Requiring a dependable solution that doesn’t trade off comfort or features.
  • MG HS Hybrid+ SUV – Combining advanced hybrid technology with class-leading versatility. This stylish yet practical SUV delivers lower emissions and reduced running costs without compromising performance.
  • MG QS SUV – Spacious, a genuine 7 seater, and thoughtfully designed. The QS is equipped with intuitive technology to keep up with the demands of modern executive and specialist fleet applications.

Test drive

Visitors will be able to test drive the MG HS and the MG QS, providing hands-on experience of their comfort, drivability, and suitability for diverse fleet operations.

Throughout the two-day event, MG Motor’s product experts will participate in panel discussions, sharing insights on sustainability, vehicle lifecycle efficiency, and emerging fleet technologies, showcasing future plans and the company’s commitment to fleet innovation in Australia.

MG U9 Announced for Australia – April 2025 update

MG Motor Australia is proud to announce the launch of the highly anticipated U9 to the Australian market – the first MG Ute to hit Australian shores.

Made specifically for local conditions, MG’s dual-cab, 2.5-litre turbo-diesel U9 will be revealed tonight at the Melbourne Motor Show. Built tough, the U9 is powered by a 164kW four-cylinder engine. Combining performance, durability and everyday practicality in a package MG believes Aussies are going to love.

This is a major milestone for MG in Australia. Utes are the second highest selling vehicle category in Australia and is a segment MG has been keen to enter. The U9 answers the call with capability, comfort and uncompromising value.

The MG P9 in China, the U9, will arrive in Australian MG dealerships in late 2025.

The U9 will be on display at the MG stand at the Melbourne Motor Show from tonight, with pre- orders set to open in the second half of 2025.
