2025 BT-50 – With a significant update, the bold new Mazda BT-50 is now ready to take on the toughest Australian conditions as it joins the brand’s diverse 2025 model range.
Exterior sculpting continues to embody the signature Mazda ‘Kodo – soul of motion’ design with a focus on ruggedness that promises adventure from every angle. A tough and bold presence is signified by a newly designed front bumper, framing a new radiator grille and unique LED headlamps.
At the rear, an unmistakable presence is delivered with a new easy-down tailgate that integrates a mountain-inspired ridged design along the bottom edge, along with new LED tail lamps and a larger Mazda Logo.
The rugged nature of the significantly updated BT-50 flows to the interior with an enhanced infotainment system, putting vehicle controls at the occupants’ fingertips. Now spanning up to seven inches, the layout of the new customisable Multi-Information Display (MID) has also been refined, working in harmony with the central screen to provide even more useful and relevant driving information.
The dependable 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel four-cylinder engine will power the bulk of the extensive BT-50 lineup, boasting a useable and healthy 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque. A 1.9-litre in-line four-cylinder diesel engine will be available in the entry-grade XS 4×2 model, delivering up to 110 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque. Both powerplants are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The bold new Mazda BT-50 is offered in single-cab, freestyle-cab and dual-cab variants, with five generously equipped model grades: XS, XT, XTR, GT and SP.

The entry-grade BT-50 XS is available on the Single Cab body only, and is equipped with the following features:

All BT-50 models are equipped with an array of safety technologies, including:

- Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM),
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Braking,
- Traffic Sign Recognition and
- Trailer Sway Control (TSC) for customers that will use their BT-50 to tow.
Colour choices
Customers will have access to a seven-colour palette consisting of; Ice White Solid, Red Earth Metallic, Sailing Blue Metallic, Concrete Grey Mica, Ingot Silver Metallic, Geode White Pearl and True Black Mica.

The local Mazda team, in collaboration with trusted suppliers, has specifically developed and tested more than 100 Mazda Genuine Accessories for Australian conditions, giving BT-50 customers ample opportunity to fully customise their vehicle.

October 2024 Mazda BT-50 UPDATE
Mazda BT-50 25MY is being debuted on October 18 globally. As the lead market co-ordinating the global launch of the new Mazda BT-50, Mazda Australia is today sharing a sneak preview ahead of its official October reveal.
The brand’s second best-selling model in Australia benefits from a major new update for 2025, ushering in a comprehensive redesign inside and out, as well as significant enhancements to the Human Machine Interface (HMI), associated safety and assistance systems and additional functionality.
The world premiere for the 2025 Mazda BT-50 will take place on Friday, October 18 at 11am AEDT.
